1 Tournament format

4 Groups

Teams are drawn into groups. Each group plays a round robin; group winners plus the best runner-up(s) advance to the semifinals.

Keep each group on its own court — Group A → Court 1, B → Court 2… (needs courts ≥ groups) Add a 3rd-place match — semifinal losers, or #3 v #4 when it's a straight final Knockout byes go to the winners of the largest groups — winning a bigger group is harder, and it stops anyone reaching the semis on fewer matches. No effect when groups are equal. Evening-up match when groups are uneven — teams from a smaller group play one extra match so nobody finishes on fewer than the rest. Runs on a court the knockout leaves free. Consolation knockout for non-qualifiers — a second bracket for everyone who does not go through, on the courts the main knockout leaves free

4 Ladder setup

Court 1 is the top of the ladder. Winners climb, losers drop, and only wins on Court 1 score.

Add every player in step 2, build the teams that arrived together in step 3, then hit Pair up the singles.
Draw the starting courts below — two teams per court, the rest wait outside.
Generate, and use the Points tab courtside to add a point each time a team wins on Court 1.
